Ecommerce in Europe is expected to generate total online sales of goods and services worth 509.9 billion euros. Last year, the total online revenue in Europe was worth 455.3 billion euros, so growth of 12 percent is expected this year. Within the luxury sector, online sales of personal luxury goods (apparel/beauty/accessories) account for 8% of the of the €254 billion global luxury market (€20 billion). Sales have grown five times over since 2009 and will continue to more than triple by 2025 (projected market value €74 billion), with almost 1/5 personal luxury sales to be taking place online.
